Help Save the ALCO S4 diesel engine

Built in 1953, this ALCO S4 engine is due to be scraped...but we want to save it!
The engine is located in Missouri, cannot be moved by rail, so it must be trucked to its new location, which we hope will be Abilene, KS. This engine will be donated to the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad if we are able to move it. It would be a back up for the ASVRR present diedel engine.
To move this engine will require a special built trailer to haul this 230,000-pound load. We are needing to raise approximately $6,000 to supplement what we have to build this trailer, along with other expenses of moving the engine.
The Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad, located in Abilene, Kansas, has been in operation since 1994 providing excursion train rides for all ages. It is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization and so any donations are tax deductible.
All money donated will go directly into the ASVRR bank account and be used strictly for this project.
