Help Save "Daisy's" Vision - Eye Surgery Fund

"Daisy" (age 10) is a Central American refugee, who fled Honduras with her family and thousands of others, as part of the Central American exodus. I first met her family in Mexico City while accompanying the caravan, and we have remained in contact since.
Her family recently contacted me and informed me that they are in desperate need of help.
Upon taking her to a doctor, they discovered that "Daisy" (age 10) has been suffering from estrabismo (strabismus) which she has had since she was 3 years old. The doctors found 3 damaged muscles in her right eye and 2 in her left. It has gone untreated so long that she now faces permanent damage to her eyes/vision if she does not receive surgery within the next 3 weeks.
Unfortunately, like the thousands of other Central American refugees who have fled their home countries, "Daisy" and her family do not have the resources or money to afford this surgery - which will cost $1,800 USD (half of which is needed in advance).
To see how much this family has overcome and has fought through in order to be where they are today, is already unimaginable, but to also receive this news and know that there is nothing you can do to help your child is something no parent should ever have to live through.
Please help us raise the money needed and save this young survivor's vision.
