Help save Nova's life

Please help us save Nova's life. About 7 months ago my oldest daughter developed a severe abscess in her neck just below her jaw, after having a life saving emergency surgery she was in the hospital for 9 days before being released. Upon release she was given a picc line for intravenous daily antibiotics. She was horribly depressed. To help her heal, we decided she needed a companion, enter Nova, the best little dog in the world, her best friend.

Last week we took the family to a private hot spring, everything was going great. Then we heard the wails. Poor Nova had gone up the hill away from us and found a spring that is only used as a hot water feeder for the lower swimming spring to keep them at temp in the winter. She lost her footing and fell in. The water in the spring was around 150º F.
Nova trashed aroung for about 30 seconds before we got there and a full minute before passing out from the shock. When she passed out and went limp, my wife's "mother instinct" kicked in and she jumped in to save the dog as she started to go under.

I was able to pull them both from the scalding hot water and lucky for them both there was a cold creek running right beside the hot spring. My wife instantly started to get cold water on her legs that sufferd first and second degree burns from her knees to her toes covering the entire front side of her legs. We have insurance and her medical bills will be taken care of. Nova however does not.

Nova was unresponsive when I got her from the water, after a few chest compressions she came to, slowly opened her eyes and looked at me. At that time I dipped her in the cold stream to stop the burning. She took a few squeezes to get her breathing good and at that time began to froth out the water she had taken in. We got her and my wife in the truck and rushed them to the hospital. We got lucky that the closest veterinary hospital was equiped to handle the emergency.

Nova suffered first and second degree burns on about 50% of her body. Mostly her undersides and legs. She has been in ICU for four days now on IV fluids to keep her kidneys from shutting down and pain managment. Her bandages require daily changing, she lost all the hair on her underside and legs and patches all over. She is going to need a skin graft on one of her hind legs to save the skin and possibly another on her underside/belly area. The hospital she is in is 4 hours away, they are ready for us to transfer her to another hospital that is only about 30 minutes away. My daughter at only 21yrs old cannot afford the bills where they stand at just over $3000 dollars, and will most likley reach upwards of $7000 dollars before its over. If we cannot pay to continue treatment, the hospitals only option is to stop treatment and put my daughters best friend and companion down. PLEASE HELP US PREVENT THIS AND SAVE NOVA'S LIFE!!
