Help Charlotte beat cancer again!

Charlotte is a 7yr old American bulldog x who lives in Calgary, Alberta with her mom Amanda and auntie Whitney. She is a sweet, energetic and loving dog who loves hiking, cuddles, treats and playing tug with her friends with fur and without.
In December 2017, Charlotte had a tumour removed from her shoulder that would turn out to be a sarcoma. She battled through and made a full recovery, showing us how brave and strong she is.
A couple months ago Amanda’s heart sunk when she noticed a large lump had suddenly appeared on the base of Charlotte’s tail, she really hoped that this time it would not be cancer.
Her vet took samples from the lump, and the worst was confirmed, not only was the lump a sarcoma but the cells in it were acting very aggressive.
With concern that the aggressive tumour had already spread through her body, her vet did X-rays, checked her lymph nodes and did an ultrasound to ensure that surgery was possible. Thankfully the cancer had not yet spread, so she was referred to an oncologist for further treatment.
At her her appointment with the specialist, it was recommended that a biopsy be performed to determined the grade of the tumour, so the surgeon knows how intrusive they need to be when removing the lump. Grade 1 she can keep her tail, grade 3 will require a high tail amputation. It was also recommended to have a CT scan before her surgery, this lets the surgeon see the tumours margins and how deep it is before cutting into Charlotte, thus planing a smoother surgery.
After Charlottes surgery, depending on the grade of the tumour she may require chemotherapy and/or radiation in order to fully beat cancer once again.
The doctors at the hospital Charlotte was referred to have performed many similar surgerys with amazing results but the costs for the preop testing, surgery, follow up care with radiation and chemo are extremely high and Amanda will need all the help she can get to cover these costs.
Charlotte is a ray of sunshine to her mom, auntie and anyone that has come in contact with her. She has proven her resiliency once before and is ready to do it again with your help.
All funds raised will go to Charlotte’s medical expenses and will give her the time she deserves to be a happy and playful puppy, spreading love to everyone around her.
