Help save Bart from Dog attack

On the afternoon of 21/06/2017 at 5:30pm I was walking my beautiful dog Bart when he was visciously attacked by a dog that was wandering the streets due to a negligent owner. Bart is in shock, severely injured and is currently being treated at The Jindalee Animal Hospital. The known injuries so far is a deep laceration to his chest as well as puncture wounds. His vitals are still not stable but the vet and nurses are doing everything they can. I have already had to pay a deposit of $1000 and have been quoted a further $5000 at this stage for the treatment and care he will require over the next few days if he makes it. The vet also informed me he will need speciaist surgery if they can remove all the potential bacteria and infection from the dog bite site. His condition is serious and the outcome is totally unpredictable right now due to not knowing the extent of his injuries as they cannot do further testing till he is stablaised. I am a full time student so I'm relying solely on the kindness of others at this time. Anyone who knows Bart knows how sweet, sensitive, sooky and loving he is - he wouldnt even hurt a fly, so this is absolutely devastating and heartbreaking for me. It has been such a traumatic experience for both Bart and I - at this stage I just need him to pull through and any donations will help greatly.
