Help Save Annie Lamb!

Donation protected
Many of you may already be a part of #TeamAnnie and have been following her story so far, for those of you who don't here is her story.

Annie hasn't had it easy in her short life so far. At just 3 days old her mum accidentally stood on her and tragically broke her back leg. The vet came out and cast the break but unfortunately due to restraints of the cast and not using her leg, this resulted in a nasty infection. We treated her with strong antibiotics but unfortunately the bottom of her leg perished and couldn't be saved.

Despite all the odds, little Annie surprised us all! Throughout it all her fight, determination and love for life has been admirable. She runs about just as fast as her bottle fed siblings, loves to play and really enjoys plenty of love and fuss.

Over the last few days, we noticed that the infection has spread into the top part of the remaining leg. Again Annie was treated with antibiotics and today we returned to the Vets. The initial advice was to put her to sleep, something we argued against due to her good health generally. If she wasn't so full of life, the decision would have been different. The  only other option open to Annie Lamb is to have her whole leg amputated. This is a virtually unheard of procedure for livestock as it is only normally given as an option for domestic pets. Thankfully, Midshire Vets in Nuneaton have agreed to operate on Annie of which we are extremely grateful.

Choosing this procedure was a no brainer for us. To many, Annie may be a sheep but after the nights we sat up feeding her, the love we have given her, and the people who's hearts she has touched, she is much more than that...She is part of our family. Sheep are not like domestic pets where you can have them insured to cover the costs of such procedures. A case like this is very rare and as we are only a small family run business, funding such a procedure is going to be a struggle.

We are reaching out to you to open your hearts to save Annie and give her the longest life possible (albeit on three legs!). After how she has fought so far, we owe her that chance. Any donation, no matter how small will be so so gratefully received by us all. Those of you who have been to visit the farm and have had the pleasure of meeting her, will know what an amazing, beautifully natured animal she is. She has bought so much happiness to us and our visitors, adults and children alike! Everyone who meets her falls in love with her and her sprit.

Please, please please help us to give her the life she rightfully deserves and has fought hard for.

Please become a part of #TeamAnnie and help to save our Little Annie Lamb!!

** Please don't feel like you do have to contribute financially, just a share of this post and help getting our story out there will go a long way to help us and her**

Many thanks in advance,
