Help Sapphire Train at Mountview

Donation protected
Hello!
My name is Sapphire Kieft. I am 19 years old and this year I have been lucky enough to be offered a place on the foundation year at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, studying musical theatre, a school I have dreamt of going to for my entire life.

So why do I need your help?

As Mountview is a drama school, it is considered by the government to be an ‘alternative education provider’ and thus there is no student finance options available to cover the course fees. The price of the course is £10,400 but with rent and living costs in London I expect I will be looking at paying around £24,000 for the year.
I will, of course, be working full time until September and then part time throughout the course to make all the difference I can in funding myself but even with this I fear I will be unable to fund myself through this course without help from outside sources.

Places on a course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts are highly sought after with thousands of applicants from all around the world every year so I am extremely lucky to have been offered a place! Mountview is one of the UK’s leading drama schools and to study there would kickstart my career and open up a world of opportunities. The course will not only develop the technique I need to progress onto further vocational training but make me a far more attractive candidate for future drama schools to want to take me onto their full BA courses.

I’ve been performing locally in Cumbria for my entire life, often doing multiple shows a year on top of my studies at school.
At this point I’ve been in too many shows to count, including more recent productions where I played LV in "The rise and fall of Little Voice".

In 2017 I played Velma Kelly in Chicago

And more recently I played the role of Olivia in an Ashton Theatre production of "The Unpacking" by Imogen Berry-Henshaw touring locations around the North of England.

I am asking for your help in funding my training at my dream school. I am aware that this is a big ask, but without help from people like you, who have an interest in helping out a girl with a dream, I will not be able to attend.

My hope is that with a large amount of generosity from many people, I can raise the funds I need to complete this year.

But, no matter how small or large, any donation will make a difference to my career.

Thank you so much for reading.
