In March 2018, Saniece Symone Hunter went to the doctor’s office with what she thought was a sinus infection. At that time, she was diagnosed with a double ear infection.
April 2018, Saniece lost hearing in her ear.
On Sunday, May 13th, Mother’s Day...Saniece was rushed to the hospital after being in unbearable pain. This was the beginning of what she hoped to be something minor, but instead turned out to be any mother's worst nightmare - cancer!
At first, the doctors believed it was bone cancer and placed a port inside her chest. Sadly, the port became infected and later she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma b-cell.
She is scheduled to start a very aggressive 6-8 months chemotherapy treatment on Monday, July 2, 2018.
Saniece is an independent small business owner, hairstylist, a single mother and sole provider for herself and 13-year-old daughter, Heavyn.
For those of you who may or may not know Saniece, she is the most vibrant, caring, warm spirited person you will ever meet. For many years she's helped women fight cancer by crafting custom wigs for those who have lost their hair fighting this disease. Now, she is facing this battle and it is our time to step up and help her fight.
Though both her parents are no longer with her, Saniece is a loving daughter, sister, mother, cousin, auntie, stylist and friend.
We are collecting funds as soon as possible. Her treatment starts in less than a week and doctors have said after each of these aggressive treatments she will be hospitalized for many days and unable to work.
Saniece is the sole stylist in her salon, Hair Eye Am Beauty Bar. When she is unable to work she will not be able to provide for herself and her daughter.
The money raised will be used to:
1. Help pay for medical bills and expenses during her treatment.
2. Living expenses for Saniece and Heavyn as she fights this awful disease.
