Help Sam Pay Off Hospital Bills

Samantha is 27 and lives in Dayton, Oh. She works full-time and is attending graduate school part-time.
She and her boyfriend decided to take a quick get-a-way the weekend after Thanksgiving. On their return trip, they were involved in a terrible accident. A car failed to yield and crossed all highway lanes. My daugter's SUV struck the vehicle. Her vehicle turned and a semi truck hit the passenger side of her vehicle, delivering fatal wounds to her boyfriend. An off duty physician pulled over to assist.
Even with 2 1/2 feet of the semi truck inside her vehicle, Sam survived. She was life flighted to the nearest trauma hospital. Her life threatening wounds consisted of cranial fractures and brain bleeds, a clavicle fracture, 4 ribs fractures, bruised, collapsed lung, stage 4 liver laceration, and a broken hip.
When we first told her what happened in the ICU her very first question was “Was it my fault?”. She is emotionally and physically broken. Her broken heart will be the most challenging piece to recover from.
The accident occurred on the Sunday evening after Thanksgiving. On Monday, her and her boyfriend who passed away in the accident, we going to place an offer on a house together. He was also speaking with his aunt, who is employed at a jeweler, about an engagement ring.
To top it off, the driver that caused the accident by failing to yield was not only uninsured, but no one in his vehicle was buckled, the vehicle he was driving was not his own, and he did not have a valid driver’s license.
The only people that survived this accident were my daughter and the semi driver, who is completely shaken up about being involved in such a sad incident. This devastating blow during the holidays will only make it worse and I do not want holiday time to always cast a shadow for my daughter.
