Help Ryan Walk Again.

Some of you may or may not know Ryan Toomer, a 19 year old from Leamington, Ontario.
Ryan has felt pain in his foot for quite some time now, but unfortunately doctors were not able to pinpoint the problem when it started, which inevitably led to his cancer spreading.
Sadly Ryan was diagnosed with ewing sarcoma (bone cancer), which is similar to the cancer that Terry Fox had. By the time he was diagnosed, it was too late, and at such a young age Ryan's forced to have his leg partially amputated.
As you can imagine, the past year has been a long, and painful process.
Thankfully in Canada they cover most of the costs for cancer treatments, however, they do not cover the costs for prosthetics. Ryan and his family would really appreciate any donations going towards getting him back on his feet again so that he can enjoy the rest of his young, and long life.

Hi, I’m Jose Cerdas and I just want to write in today to inform the donors on the process that will be taken so that the funds will be deposited to the beneficiary (Ryan) and to ensure transparency.
I’m from Windsor, Ontario and I’ve known Ryan Toomer since I could remember. We went to the same grade school and High School and have recently gotten back in touch. So here’s what Ryan plans to use the money for- Recently, Ryan has gone through surgery for an amputation on part of his leg. As you can imagine, this has produced a lot of challenges for Ryan, but he is receiving help by Dr. Liam for physio at the Windsor Hospital. After this, Ryan went to speak with a prosthetic services company to examine the possibilities. As part of the process, in 2 weeks Ryan will be fitted for his first temporary prosthetic. He will not be able to attain a permanent prosthetic until a couple of months in order for them to shrink and completely heal the remaining part of his leg.

Hi, I’ve said this before but honestly I can’t think of any other way to describe what I’m feeling. I’m just lost for words. I never would’ve expected the support that I’ve received from my past classmates, people who didn’t even know me, my gradeschool and highschool teachers, and my community. People are so generous and the support they’ve given me has motivated me to do so much and that this is not the end for my future. Months ago I wouldn’t have expected this outcome at all and I was very uncertain about my future, today I’m proud to say my mentality is completely different. Thank you so much for what you’ve all done for me. My life is completely changed because of it.
