Help Rj Afford Top Surgery

My name is Rj and my pronouns are they, them, theirs. I am a genderqueer Latinx. This means that I don’t identify with the gender that I was assigned at birth. I am not female nor male. My gender is genderqueer, meaning fluid as fuck. I’m a trans activist, educator, seminarian, great friend and a person. I’m currently on a journey to afford top surgery, which is the process of reconstructing my chest the way I need it to be. For me my genderqueer transition is about continually listening and honoring my body and my sense of self. This decision is how I am best honoring my body and myself. Self-fundraising makes me uncomfortable and it’s not something I intended to do. But someone recently told me that the struggle cannot be done alone. It takes a village to thrive. My surgery date is Monday May 1st in Nashville TN. If you have the means, are feeling generous, can give in this way I would love for us to be partners in this journey. I truly appreciate the people that surround me, my chosen families, friends, communities of faith that support me. I remember that a prophet, teacher, activist, and divine leader once said, I AM THAT I AM. Today and every day I too am saying “I AM THAT I AM”.
