Help Replace Stolen Instruments

On April 21, the Carson Middle School Intermediate Band competed at a music festival, followed by an afternoon of fun at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom.  That night, one of our families stayed the night at a local hotel, where their vehicle was broken into. The criminal stole 2 of our 6th grade student's instruments: a trumpet and an alto saxophone.  The two students whose instruments were stolen play in the Intermediate Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. 

The stolen saxophone is valued at $1,500.  The girl who plays this instrument just received it a few months ago as a gift.

The stolen trumpet was rented from a local music store and is valued at around $700.  The parents of this student were 2 months away from paying it off.

With multiple upcoming contests, festivals, and trips, these students are left without instruments at a critical time of the year.  The students are heartbroken and the sentimental value of the instruments was much greater than the cost. Any community support will go directly towards replacing their instruments so these students can get back to what they do best: make wonderful music.  As their band director, I would like to thank you for your help.
