Help The Rendell Family pay for extensive surgery to their new puppies leg.
On September 4th, Bear (the white, King German Shepherd) was playing outside with their other dog Max. Max, innocently chasing a squirrel, T-boned Bear where he was thrown into a tree trunk causing his femur to crack at the hip into 7 pieces.
This dog was brought into their lives out of love. A dear friend of Cassandra's was going through a hard time and could no longer solely care for Bear (who was just a little puppy then) in the way that she knew he deserved as she has a hectic and time consuming schedule as a nurse. Cassandra, being a lover of all living things took this puppy on even though she was heavily pregnant and had two dogs of her own already. She knew her friend would want this dog to go to someone she trusted where she could visit and receive updates on her beloved Bear.
Cassandra, my friend and business partner is one of the most loving humans I have ever had the pleasure of welcoming into my life. She devotes so much of her time to loving animals and ensuring they have the life that they so deserve. She spearheaded the challenging undertaking of raising funds to save the feral cats of Bath, ON and has so far been able to re-home 4 of them.
Cassandra and I own a small business in it's infancy in a new building that we have just purchased with all the savings we could scrounge together. Cassandra's husband is also an entrepreneur and has lovingly helped Cassandra and I see this plan through and has supported Cassandra in this new business. They would love to give Bear the big and beautiful life that the 8 month old puppy deserves with plenty more squirrels to chase but the vet bills are looking LOFTY. They have already spent $1500 just to find out what is wrong and are looking at 3-6k more to have the issue fixed. This would put a serious financial strain on most families and particularly a family of entrepreneurs.
Anything you can do to help my friend and her Bear would be greatly appreciated... Seriously, any dollar helps.
