Help recover Gatsby & his new life

Donation protected
Gatsby is a 3-4 yr old male guinea pig who was surrendered by his owners who couldn’t afford to help his medical needs.
Unfortunately, he’s grown some sort of mass/infection on the side of his face that should’ve been looked at awhile ago.
Its gotten so heavy on his face that he’s almost unable to hold himself up
He lays down quite often most likely from his neck hurting
Its obvious it’s uncomfortable/painful for him & I was told he’s had it for months and it’s only getting bigger.
I saw the post on craigslist a few days ago and since the owners were over 2 hours from me & the hurricane was going on, I was hesitant. But I knew I couldn’t ignore his situation without helping.
I got him within the next day and when I saw him I was a little taken back.
He looked a lot worse than I imagined, he had puss coming out of his unseen eye under the mass and I had no clue he had a breathing problem but he was wheezing, struggling to breath.
He did eat & drink which was a good sign but I sometimes he would randomly lay in his food or random places i think because he gets tired of the heavy mass weighing him down
I got him to the emergency vet within a few hours and they did xrays.
Thankfully, the mass was NOT affecting his air way to breath, but he did have a URI.
They told me another exotic vet would have to take a closer look at the mass so they referred me to Avian and Exotic Animal Care.
They sent me home with medication for his pain & breathing.
Luckily, they are able to get him in this Tuesday, but I have no clue what they’ll suggest or want to do.
I was told if it’s an infection, they might just have to drain it. But if it’s a cyst/tumor it may be more complicated.
Since his first visit was already $460 I can’t imagine how much Tuesday’s will be.
They let me know I most likely have “limited time” with him, preparing me for the worse, but I want him to have all his options without money being an issue.
I was told for surgeries they usually go over $1,000. Draining an infection could possibly be a little less. We have no clue what it is until Tuesday. But I don’t want to hold off him getting help because of money, so any dollar helps! All of the funds will go directly towards his medical bills & any care he will need.

These last few months(or maybe even longer) haven’t been great for him, so whether he has years, months, or days left I want his final days to know he is loved.
Everyone has already been so supportive and helpful and it makes me so happy he has a big team routing for him!
He is so strong for getting up everyday eating & drinking with his heavy mass on him. I will update any changes for him on my FB,
Thank you so much for all your concerns and help❤️
