Vieques Island Animal Sactuary is the only (501c3) no-kill animal sanctuary on Vieques, dedicated to a time when there are no homeless animals on Vieques. http://viequesislandanimalsanctuary.zohosites.com/

They are in a state of emergency: Their shelters were damaged by recent heavy rains. Now they have displaced animals and no place to put incoming animals. The volunteers have taken on extra jobs to raise funds for doghouses, chain link fencing, plywood, lumber, tin etc.
This is an awesome group of people who dedicate their time and effort to helping homeless animals of all kinds in Puerto Rico. They are encountering a lot of damage due to recent storms in the area that have washed away roads and damaged or destroyed the shelters.
