Help pay Toad's vet bills

After a trip to the emergency vet this weekend, we discovered that Toad has a 4cm tumor on the right side of his heart. The prognosis is extremely bleak, and depending on how well his medicine works, we have anywhere between a few days and a few months left together. On average, it's about a month.
Right now he's in good condition, but we're not sure how long that will last, and we want to make sure the time we have left is as comfortable and happy as possible.
(We took this photo today after a visit to East Rock, which he loves).
Toad was a street dog in Puerto Rico when my lab as an undergraduate rescued him. He was really, really underweight and infested with fleas, ticks, and heart worms. After a lot of vet visits, hugs, and treats, he was on a plane to Connecticut, where I took him in.
Toad has been my best friend for the last 7 years. He has been with me across too many moves to count, taking up too much of the bed every night, and he's been so happy and healthy and excited about everything the whole time we've been together. He's been my partner through the happiest and hardest times in my life, and I feel so lucky that I've had any amount of time with him at all.
We're taking it a day at a time right now, but vet bills are expensive and I'm a broke grad student already in debt. Our emergency vet visit yesterday was already $1,500 I don't have, and in home euthanasia and cremation costs, when that time comes, will likely add $3-500 on top of that. I'm racking it all up on my credit card at this point, and even the smallest help would be a huge relief and tremendously appreciated.
All the money I raise will go directly to his vet bills, and anything extra will go to a tattoo I get of this little guy on my body (I'm thinking this photo of him, but am open to suggestions; please send me any photos of him you have anyway in general).
I'm hoping we can have at least a little bit more time together, and in the mean time I'd be deeply grateful for any help or support.
