Help Pavlina Get Better

I am creating this page on behalf of my cousin Pavlina Ivanova. In march 2017, when she was only 39 years old, she received the most devastating news of her life. She was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in her right breast. The news coming only a year after she welcomed her second child into the world. She was left with many tough questions. “Will I be able to take care of my kids? What is the best course of action for this diagnosis? What should I do?...” Jonathan was 2 and Sophyah was 1 at the time. Rather than enjoy time with her beautiful family she started chemo therapy from April 2017 to September 2017. This left her physically and mentally exhausted, but she didn't complain. With the help of family she was able to take care of her kids. September came and the doctors told her the chemo had worked to an extent. It had shrunk the tumor, but it was not gone completely. She was left with another hard decision. She decided to have surgery to remove the right breast. After the surgery the next step was radiation. She underwent 30 radiation treatments which made her weak, and tired, but she made the best of it. She still managed to take care of her beautiful kids, who still needed their mom's attention and love. The battle continued as the months rolled on. Once she was done with the radiation, the doctors recommended taking chemo pills for 6 months as a preventative measure. She agreed to take the pills with one goal: to get better for her kids. She dealt with the many side effects and powered through the pain. In July 2018 she was once again advised by her doctors to continue taking the chemo pills for another year. She continues to take them and deals the best she can with the side effects and her diagnosis, hoping for the best. In early January 2019 she was advised to have another surgery and have her left breast removed due to extremly dense tissue. Once again another hard decision but she is a fighter and the surgery is scheduled for January 23, 2019.

For the last 22 months she has fought hard and continues to fight everyday to live to see her kids grow up. She has not asked for help once. After her surgery, her goal is to go to a holistic clinic in Florida (Hippocrates Health Institute) to detoxify from all of the medication she has taken over the last two years and to heal from within. The amount that is needed is not possible for her family to cover. The money that we collect will help her go and receive treatment worry-free so she can get strong again. The last 2 years have taken a toll on her and her family, but she will continue to fight and she will get better.

With your help, we can give her the gift of life.
