Help out my 1st Graders

Hello, my name is Wendy Gomez. I am a first grade teacher in Houston by second ward.This was an area that was greatly affected by Hurricane Harvey. As I prepared to welcome my new students and families for a new school year a natural disaster had other plans. Many of them have lost their homes, all their live savings and even family members. Going back to school just got even more challenging as we are still facing Hurricane Harvey aftermath. My school primarily serves very low-income hispanic families. Your support throughout this time will make a great difference. With the funds collected I will be going out and getting them school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, markers, crayons etc that they will need to help them be successful.  A classroom is a place of learning and to most these students it will become their home and somewhere to look forward to after all of this. I hope you find it in your hearts to make a donation. Nothing is too small to help the 21 families that make up my classroom. Literally anything helps from a dollar to twenty dollars.
