Team Hero's program, The Block Center in partnership with Troy Middle School, Troy Boys & Girls Club, Commision on Economic Opportunity (CEO) wants to bring smiles to 25 underserved children and teens for a memorable experience to Washington D.C. to visit historical landmarks and the new African American Museum.
The Block Center is a positive youth development program for young people ages 11-16 living in the Troy, NY area. We connect young people with caring adult mentors, who are committed to building character. We offer weekly group sessions, field trips, community events, tutoring, and situational support services.
You can help the Block Center's young people attend this life changing trip! Most of them have never left New York State region and this will be a great educational experience.
Your donation will provide transportation to Washington D.C., hotel stay and meals for 3 days while visiting the monuments.
We are encouraged by your support and enthusiasm! Please help support this trip to Washington D.C. this school year. This trip is planned for the end of June, 2017.
