From the moment we laid eyes on Tiger we knew she had to be a part of our life, and now ten years later she is our most loved and cherished family member.
Tiger's old age is catching up to her, and with that comes a lot of naps but also health issues too. Over the past year Tiger has had two surgeries to remove lumps and bumps and while we could afford Tigers previous surgeries, we are unable to fund her upcoming medical fees due to unforeseeable financial difficulties.
Our beloved Tiger has been diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia, which causes her discomfort and pain. Tiger has been on prescription food and medication since April 2017 but has been stalled since September 2017. It has been very hard to see her struggling these past few months which is why we're reaching out for some help. Please see our update about Tiger for more details on her medication, dosage and diet.
As our main priority is Tiger's arthritis, our GoFundMe funds will be enough to cover Tigers basic medical needs over the next few months so we can focus on rent and utility bills, giving us some stress and financial relief until we get back on our feet.
In order for Tiger's quality of life to be maintained, she needs the following medications for the rest of her life:
♡ Cartrophen injections to reduce pain from arthritis
♡ Loxicom (meloxicam) 1.5mg/mL
♡ Hills Prescription Diet Canine Metabolic Plus Mobility
♡ A full blood test every six months
Our vet is incredibly good at what is does and is doing his best to ensure both we and Tiger are happy. He's told us to set her arthritis treatment as our main priority, then blood tests to ensure her overall heath, and lastly removing any lumps that may develop on her body over time.
Tiger loves going on walks with her family, eating bananas, nursing her stuffed toys and cuddling with her humans and we would love to experience these moments with her for as long as we can. She is an incredibly important part of our family and we really do want to do everything that we can to help her be as comfortable and as happy as she can be for years to come.
