Help Our Family Breathe A Little

Since I was 5 weeks pregnant I have been suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum . HG is commonly referred to as extreme morning sickness, but HG compares to morning sickness like a hurricane compares to a summer shower. This means that almost immediately I had to stop all working and soon even all driving as driving would make me so lightheaded that I would throw up or pass out. Rob took on the brunt of the work, started working 7 days a week and taking double shifts as much as he could.

He's never once complained.

I love this man so much for that.

Now, I am nearly due. I've been through so many pills, so many home IVs, so many home nurse visits, so many ups and downs on the scale, I've only gained 15 lbs. Now even a hospital visit from my body being ready to give out. I've watched this partner of mine work himself exhausted and come home and clean the house and make dinner every night for us and our elder daughter for so many weeks....

I'm crying as I write this.

At this point, he is working every single day until the baby is born, will be off when I have the baby and the day we come home, and then will go back to work. We can't afford more. I'll be going back the moment I have enough energy to do so.

This money will give us a little breathing room. This money will pay for my medical bills from when I needed IV fluids and insurance is refusing to pay. This money will pay for the bills we've had to put aside because electricity and eating were more important.

This money will let him take a little extra time to bond in the very beginning with his baby outside of when he leaves each morning at 7:30 and gets home 12+ hours later. It'll help us all adjust to becoming a family of 4.

This money will let me see him relax a bit more paying our bills for at least one month.

It'll mean the world to us.
