Help Otterhound Colleen

Dear Otterhound friends,
Unfortunately we received sad news from Ralf and Gerda Nöldner on the 04th of April 2019.
Colleen (Houndville Ciara) was hit by a car in the parking lot in front of their camper.
The driver came very quickly to the grounds of the motorhome dealer and unfortunately paid more attention to the beautiful picture of Colleen which decorates the rear window, than to the parking lot.
She overlooked Colleen and drove over her hind body.
Colleen was immediately taken to the clinic Fürstenwalde where she was operated on the following Tuesday.
One hip is totally shattered and had half of the bone had to be removed and the other has a hairline fracture.
On the 09th of April she had to undergo surgery a second time, on the other side of the hip another stabilizing screw was attached.
On the 12th of April she was allowed to return home.
At first she was not at all well informed us Ralf and Gerda. She had a fever, did not want to eat and therefore did not take the necessary medication. Ultimately, you could only dissolve the meds and infused with a pipette.
It's been a few months now and Colleen's sciatic nerve has not recovered yet.
At first, the veterinarians thought that they had a herniated disc in addition to the other problems, but it now appears to be due to an injury to the nerve caused by the accident.
The accident insurance company of the lady that caused the accident has only paid € 5000.00, but as everyone can imagine, these costs have long since been exceeded.
Ralf and Gerda have put a lot of savings in the operations as well as examinations and physiotherapy, but there are still some costs to be covered.
Thus, we have decided to make this donation call in order to support the payment for the now necessary trolley and the continuation of physiotherapy and further examinations.
Colleen is still cheerful and a healing of the nerve is not excluded.

leider haben wir am 04.04.219 traurige Nachrichten von Ralf und Gerda erhalten.
Colleen (Houndville Ciara) wurde auf dem Parkplatz direkt vor dem Wohnmobil von einem PKW überrollt.
Die Fahrerin kam sehr schnell auf das Gelände des Wohnmobilhändlers und achtete leider mehr auf das schöne Bild von Colleen welches die Heckscheibe ziert als das Sie auf den Parkplatz achtete.
Sie übersah somit Colleen und fuhr Ihr über den Hinterkörper.
Colleen wurde sofort in die Klinik Fürstenwalde gebracht wo sie auch am darauffolgendem Dienstag operiert wurde.
Die eine Hüfte hat einen Schmetter Bruch und auf der anderen Hüfte wurde ein Haarriss entdeckt.
Am 09.04. musste sie ein zweites mal operiert werden, auf der andere Seite der Hüfte wurde noch eine Schraube zur Stabilisierung angebracht.
Am 12.04. durfte sie wieder nach hause.
Anfangs ging es Ihr garnicht gut berichteten uns Ralf und Gerda. Sie hatte Fieber, wollte nicht fressen und nahm somit auch nicht die notwendigen Medikamente zu sich. Letztendlich konnte man die Medis nur auflösen und mit einer Pipette einflössen.
Nun ist es schon ein paar Monate her und Colleen's Ischiasnerv hat sich leider noch nicht regeneriert.
Erst dachten die Tierärzte das Sie zuzüglich der anderen Probleme noch einen Bandscheibenvorfall hätte, doch es scheint nun durch eine von dem Unfall hervorgerufene Verletzung des Nerves zu sein.
Die Versicherung der Unfallverursacherin hat gerade mal €5000,00 übernommen, wie sich aber ein jeder vorstellen kann sind diese kosten längst überschritten.
Ralf und Gerda haben etliche Ersparnisse in die OP's sowie untersuchungen und Physiotherapie gesteckt, aber es werden noch einige kosten aufkommen.
Somit haben wir entschieden diesen Spendenaufruf zu machen um bei der Zahlung für den nun nötigen Rollwagen sowie die fortsetzung der Physiotherapie und weiterer Untersuchungen zu unterstützen.
Colleen ist noch lebensfroh und eine Abheilung des Nerves ist nicht ausgeschlossen.
