Help Other Black get back to space

Art, in its purest form, has forever been presented with emotion and intention behind it. You can hear  a song and relate to the feeling of despair or empowerment with no understanding of the specifics  that lead to its creation. It is in this authentic space that we find no discrimination, no judgement, and the profoundness of present self.

Other Black has been a band for 6 years.
Those years have heralded appearances at the Ogden and Red Rocks, and through the years the band has supported groups such as Thundercat, and St. Paul and the Broken Bones, and they have released 0 records.

The band strives to bring awareness to art created from the depths of being, instead of art which succumbs to the “popular” formula. While Watkins has been a "popular" staple in the local music scene for an easy decade.  You’ve probably seen him. Rowdy Shadehouse, Petals of Spain, Air Dubai, Bonnie and the Beard, M. Florea, Eldren, & Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats have all endured sharing the presence of Watkins on a stage.

“I’ve been seeking others dreams my entire music career but Other Black is my reality. I wrote through the struggles of homelessness, race, death, love, and a broken scene full of addiction with Other Black. I intend to see that through”

“I just want to encourage people to experience themselves and be comfortable in the changes that come with life”, states Watkins. “We’ve been lied to. Either we are told we are that superhuman and have no feelings, or that we are subhuman and our feelings are controlling us. Neither is true, the truth is that we are purely human and have the ability to embrace the change at any moment. The embrace of that change is what I seek to encourage in my music."

Ideally, Other Black's Premier full length record, being recorded at the Spot Studios, will feature 15 tracks, a few music videos and an amazing Graphic Novel. If you have the ability to help we will be greatly appreciative!
