Help Nurit stop the progression of her MS!

Donation protected
Hello, we are Sean & Nurit Cusack from Kent, Washington (a suburb of Seattle). It all began on May 31, 2018.  Nurit woke up, just like any other day to get ready for work, but realized that her hands felt numb.  Within the next 24 hours, the numbness had spread to the majority of her body.  After a trip to the ER, followed by several tests, we received the difficult news that Nurit was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.  After 3 heavy doses of steroid infusions and within about a month, she was able to regain feeling everywhere but her arms and hands. The prognosis is to just accept that the disease will continue to get worse leading to the possibility of paralysis, blindness, or worse.  Perhaps the scariest part of this is the unpredictability of this disease.  She could wake up tomorrow and have trouble walking or be unable to see or it might take 10 years for that to happen.  Taking various medicinal cocktails of infusions and pills are not without very serious side effects and in most cases they are only known to slow the disease progression, so time is of the essence.  After extensive research, we've come across an alternative, tried and true procedure, that offers ~80% chance that the progression of the MS can be completely halted.   The procedure is called Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) and while it's still only in human clinical trials awaiting FDA approval in the USA, it's been practiced in a few states and several countries for many years with extraordinary success.   The extreme risks of this chemotherapy based procedure have been weighed carefully.   Nurit may never regain feeling in her hands or be able to reverse the marks left from her past MS flair ups, but a successful treatment would mean no further damage would be caused, she could be spared inevitable serious disabilities, and a life time of expensive medical drugs, infusions, and treatments would no longer be necessary.   The funds from this campaign will be used to pay for Nurit's travel expenses to Puebla, Mexico, lodging at the provided sterile medical facility, the HSCT medical procedure, and recovery.    There, she'll remain in total isolation for up to 5 weeks while her immune system is rebuilt with her own stem cells. The Cusack family would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this trying time.
