Help Nicole Kick Cancer

Nicole Bertholf is my sister and my best friend. We grew up in Blairstown and continue to call this town home. Nicole loves the outdoors and connecting with nature. She is a loving aunt, wonderful friend and always puts other first. 

Nicole has always lived a healthy life, she enjoys hiking on our local trials and working locally on an organic farm. A few weeks ago her life was turned upside down. After deciding to get what we consider to be a life saving second opinion, at the young age of 29 she was diagnosed with breast cancer. It is quickly spreading and treatment has begun. 

Nicole is now unable to work and has no medical insurance. She has applied for financial assistance through the hospital but has only had a portion of her medicals bills covered. The balance she is still left to pay is hefty. She is currently traveling back and forth to the hospital a few times a week, each round trip takes her 3 hours. 

As you you can imagine the last few weeks have been very rough on our entire family. We appreciate everyone who has reached out to offer love, support and prayers it has been greatly appreciated. Many have asked what they can do to help during this time and while asking for financial assistance is not easy it will be helpful in relieving some stress off of Nicole so that she can focus treatment and recovery.
