HELP NIAMH ACCESS SURGERY

Many of you will know Emmylee from her years of humanitarian and aid work. Emmylee has worked tirelessly raising funds and resources for some of the world's most vulnerable people. She has worked with internationally-recognized charities as well as Founding and Directing her own. She has also advocated for street kids, people with disability and orphans as well as those affected by family violence. Much of her work has been self-funded and Emmylee works from both a local and global platform.
What many of you won't be aware of, is that Emmylee's daughter Niamh has been living with a chronic illness since October 2018. She lives with debilitating pain, constant nausea, chronic fatigue, rapid unexplained weight loss, gastrointestinal distress, inflammation and a compromised immune system. Her fertility is at risk. The use of pain killers is not recommended or viable in the long term.
Niamh's specialist has advised that she needs urgent surgery in order to recover to a point where she can return to normal daily activities.
It is recommended Niamh access surgery privately as there is a public waiting list of about 2 years. She has already been waiting for over 6 months. Not having the surgery is likely to create further complications.
Niamh's specialist has booked her in for surgery for June 2019. The surgery is not fully covered by Medicare and Niamh cannot access a private health fund. To date, Emmylee has not been able to raise the $8,767.17 needed to pay for the surgery. If she cannot raise this money, the June surgery will need to be cancelled.

Pre surgery appointment fee - $83
Anaesthetist's fee - $1462
Surgeon's fee -$4348.42
Hospital stay - $2579.75
Post surgery appointment - $147
