Help Nellie fight the good fight!

Back on April 7th mom was in the emergency room for what she thought was a bug bite that was swollen under her arm, after several tests doctors thought it was an abscess and set surgery for drainage. While trying to drain said area the doctor couldn’t drain because it ended up being a mass. After a few weeks on May 7th we got the news that we dreaded , moms mass tested positive for cancer. We all were struck with so much worry and uncertainty. She has Adeno carcinoma (Gland cancer) After loosing my dad years ago  we couldn’t even believe this was happening. Mom has cancer... man that was a lot to process for her. Basically what they have said is that it is a gland cancer but can’t detect where it is primary, breast or lung is what they have told us they think but also that she is a rare case where you can’t find the primary. Mom had a port put in May 14th. Mom started chemo May 16th and got what they call the red devil (doxorubicin and cytoxan) every two weeks for 4 rounds totaling two months, she has just finished her 4th and final round. Now she has 12 rounds of weekly chemo with ( Paclitaxel). Then she will have surgery to remove mass and tissue and lymph nodes. Then will come 6 weeks of daily radiation to follow. Then just hopefully Things will be easier for her. Bless her heart, anyone that knows my mom knows she’s an absolute rockstar and helps anyone she can, she has worked her whole life and always been the best person she possibly could. She’s is a great mother, friend, nana , sister , everything. If you have ever met her she I’m sure has touched your life in one way. Nellie stood beside my dad for years until he passed away , she took care of him every single day until he passed it wasn’t easy for her. She didn’t have a lot of help but never gave up. Now is her time she needs help. This last round has really been rough for her and it’s getting harder for her to go work. Most of you know she cleans houses for odd jobs but the job is just so physical for her and with the way she is feeling she’s not sure how much longer she can continue to go. With all the appointments she’s missed so much already and now her energy levels have decreased so much. She starts weekly chemo next week and afraid that it will just get harder along with the daily radiation. We are trying to prepare for her so she doesn’t loose everything she has worked so hard to get. Her car her home everything. I would hate to see the women that has fought so hard to start over on her home after daddy’s death loose so much. Myself and my husband are going to help her all we possibly can, but there will still be a need, car payment, rent, utilities ,insurance . I would love to be able to get everyone that can to donate to helping my mom fight  the good fight! Even if it’s 1$ anything helps. And if you can’t donate say a prayer for her , tell your church have the whole church pray to give her strength to get through this.
