Help Needed to Stay Housed

I am on disability and have three cats (emotional support animals) that mean the world to me and dont want them to end up on streets again (We were homeless for awhile until Nov)
I asked for help a few months back and was graciously helped by people to keep our place but just got a letter a couple days ago from Social Security stating that because of my Medi-Cal being cut my check would be reduced to pay for my Medicare premium leaving me $134 short of rent that was due yesterday.
I ate yesterday as had no food and now am $146 short of rent that must be paid by the 5th. I have been looking for work and applying to a lot of places even though I have not worked since 2006 , I am tired of the struggle for me and my cats. I am trying my hardest, trust me.
I need $146 to make rent this month and stay housed , if that is all I make on this then that would be a blessing. Any extra would pay for electric and gas bill.
I hate to ask for help, feel ashamed and embarrassed but thank you so much!
