Help NC Veteran's Medical Costs

Meet my Uncle Jimmy. Greatest guy I ever met. Veteran, law enforcement officer, father, husband, brother, and all around awesome person. He's 70, super hard working, and the most kind and most generous man ever. Every person I know and every animal I know loves him.  However big his heart is, it was weak. After being run through the ringer for months at the VA, he received an LVAD (heart pump) and a great prognosis at Duke Med. in Durham, NC. Great place but expensive and very far away. Because he has a machine inside his heart, he has to travel back and forth weekly for testing and appointments. He's super proud but he worries. He could really use all the help he can get to cover his travel costs to and from the hospital and for his additional living expenses.  Any help given is greatly appreciated.
