Help my son get to VT to attend his Dad's funeral

Let me start off by saying I'm horrible with these and strongly dislike asking people for anything.. let alone money..... however this isn't about me, it's about my son and I will do anything for him.
My son and I moved from VT to North Carolina on October 23rd, 2018
October 25th his step mother Susan passed away following a stroke, which that left just the father(Justin) to take care of their two kids (Hannah, 10 and Ethan, 6).
We weren't able to get back to VT so soon after just getting to NC for Susan's service.
Yesterday, December 7th we got news that my sons Father, Justin unexpectedly passed away. Potential heart attack.
My son wishes to attend his Dads funeral, so he can say his goodbyes and see his brother and sister, we are not sure when the service is as of yet however, I'm expecting next week sometime.
As you can imagine, being a single mom, I'm strapped on money especially at this time of year.
Please help us with funding so I can bring my son back to VT for his dad's funeral...
