Help My Family Escape Abuse

My name is Melissa Jones. I am the mother/grandmother of Domestic Violence victims.

My daughter has been with the same man for almost four years, and they have two children (pictured). The father of my grandchildren is extremely psychologically (emotional, verbal), and financially (withholding money/spending more on himself than on his family, causing my daughter to lose jobs), abusive toward my daughter and the babies; I've lived with them for a year, and have seen/heard so much hate, it breaks my heart to know that my grandchildren are being subjected to this hostility. Their father has, literally, threatened their mother's life....in front of them.

The money I'm asking for will help her and the babies get away from him. I know the total amount seems like a lot, but we're going to be leaving with only two beds, a recliner, clothing and toys. We also don't have a place to move to, at this time. The money you can donate will help us get a place to live and furnishings, so that my daughter and grandchildren will be safe and comfortable. The sooner we reach our goal, the sooner we can leave this hostile environment.

I'm currently battling Stage 4 (terminal) breast cancer; and it stresses me out to know that my daughter's life has become a nightmare, and that she and the babies aren't treated well. The stress of the environment is hindering my progress, as I fight to stay alive.
