Urgent Medical Need-Help Moses Gnanashekar

Moses Gnanashekar spent many years as a nurse manager at a local hospital in Columbia, South Carolina.  Besides his medical work, he has had a heart for ministry, caring for the homeless in Columbia as the founder of Zarephath Ministries. He helped transition 77 homeless individuals to homebound. After his retirement, he wanted to return to India as an evangelist. He returned to Bangalore, India,  where he started a church in the slums. His ministry work brought him to many villages in the area to preach the gospel. He has also been involved in supporting local pastors by giving to their building funds, purchasing Bibles, and helping with baptisms.

On January 21, 2019, Moses was riding his scooter home when he lost control and hit a car. He suffered serious injury and was left lying on the side of the road bleeding. "A good Samaritan" (The Chief Justice of Karanata) saw Moses and had him admitted to Vikram Hospital in Bangalore. He was taken straightaway into surgery because the CT showed a subdural hematoma. Post-op, he was placed on a ventilator. The surgeon has told the family that he believes Moses can recover,  but there have been multiple complications.

Thus far, he has battled sepsis, breathing problems etc. We know from his son Joseph's testimony that Moses wants to live and serve the Lord. He has opened his eyes and held his wife's hand. Currently, his condition is critical and he remains on life support. In India, the hospital will accept cash only, his insurance is not valid. Once he is stable the family would like to transport him to Richland hospital for further treatments. 

I, Krissi Wyss, am a friend of the family and we have been part of the same local church body in Lexington, SC for many years. Several of us wanted to find a way to support Moses, his wife Mano, and their adult son Joseph as they continue on this challenging journey toward Moses' healing.
