Our brother, Michael, has been diagnosed with lymphoma. His predicted treatment time is currently 6 months with a 2 month rest period after treatment, however this could be prolonged as the treatments happen. During this time he will be unable to work, and unfortunately the payment for his medical leave won't be very much. We're fortunate enough that family will be covering most of his standard bills, however we're hoping to raise the money to have his medical bills covered.
He will receive pharmacare, however there is a deductible that has to be reached before this will kick in. Because of the way their year works (April-April) this will have to paid twice during his treatment time. After the deductible is paid, the costs will be reduced to 20% of the medication costs. There are also medications that he will need that will not be covered under pharmacare.
All money raised will be going into a separate account that both myself and Krista have access to, and will be distributed as the needs come up.
