Becoming A Cadet

Hello everyone. For those of you who do not know me I am an student at the University of Connecticut studying music education. A dream of mine has always been to march along side the 10-time world champion Cadets. I have been selected to be a part of this prestigious program and could not be more excited. This program will not only make me a better musician and marcher but also a better teacher. The cadets will give me the skills to be a teacher that is knowledgeable in music, understands the importance of hard work, understands what it means to work as a team, and how to drive for excellence. By being involved with this program I will be able to give the instruction, advice and knowledge to my students one day. When I was in high school I loved band more than anything, I loved the atmosphere, the team work and the life lessons it taught me. By joining the cadets I will be able to learn how that I can provide the same or even better experience to my students and make them fall in love with band, school and music the way I did. Now joining the cadets is a big financial burden and I ask that if you could donate any money whether it be $1 or $10 or even more, that you could. Therefore I can have the tools to become a successful musician and a phenomenal teacher. If you are unable to donate I understand but I ask if you could just share my story to others who would be able to donate to make my dream a reality and develop my skills so that I can give back to the community.
