I've known Heather for 9 years and in this time have been a solemn witness to the damage and the ravages that Lyme in all it's stages inflicts. I have witnessed first hand incredulous doctors and medical staff & have realized that the knowledge base is still far too narrow & specialized in the community despite what you may read on the news or in social media.
I have personally gone to over 100 medical appointments with Heather in the last 9 years & it has taken this long to assemble a team of professionals each in their own discipline, that not only believe Heather, but have proven their own tremendous skill in helping to heal her not only symptomatically but with a total health approach.
Heather has tried EVERYTHING from holistic, homeopathic, naturopathic, chiropractor, physiotherapy, massage, shaman, acupuncture, to every kind of specialist: brain surgeon, neurosurgeon, numerous rhuemetolgists, dermatologist, numerous infectious disease doctors, etc.
Heather is a trendsetter who in her battle to find her helpful health care team has pushed for public awareness, medical infrastructure, education, prevention & spreads the word to every single person she encounters while out in nature that she feels may be at risk.
She is long past the experimental stage of finding out what health solutions will work effectively to mitigate her symptoms so the money she receives isn't randomly distributed on trial and error treatment protocols.
Through Heather's suffering, she has learned that there are forms of healing that are not found in any textbook. She has found that her passion for owls has not only given her a reason to live it has given her a zest for life that is stronger than any pill she can swallow.
Seeing her first owl almost 9 years ago literally saved her life. She now is driven to live her life saving theirs.
