Help me bring home my stolen dog Semper!
As most of you know, my heart was broken last year when my dog Semper Fidelis went missing in April 2016. In a drastic turn of events, I discovered he was stolen and illegally sold on Craigslist to a woman in Jacksonville, Florida who bought him for $200. We tracked her and Semper down but she refuses to give him back to me.
When I first got Semper Fidelis, a siberian husky, in March 2013 he became part of my family. He has helped me stay active to manage my blood sugars and helped me through tough emotional times with his caring and goofy personality. As a Type I Diabetic that is insulin dependent my dog Semper has been a huge pillar of support in my life. Back when I was 11 years old I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. I underwent chemotherapy for this cancer and it caused my diabetes. The leukemia went into remission however I have been attached to an insulin pump 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week for the past 8 years and am currently. Semper has been my best friend and helped me through so much.
In April 2016, after raising Semper for 3 years, he was stolen from me and illegally sold on Craigslist. I am devastated. I’ve never stopped looking for my baby. On May 30th 2017 while following up on a lead I checked on his microchip number. I was then told that PetKey had fraudulently added a new owner in April 2016 to his microchip without my authorization. It was horrifying news. I immediately filed a police report for theft. The police are involved. We hired a private investigator and are hiring a private attorney to help return Semper to me. I love my dog and need him back. I am fighting for him. I've looked for one year and am now fighting to get him home but I need help. I lived in California but when I discovered what happened I packed up my things and drove to Texas to be closer. I am temporarily staying with family in Texas as I am waiting for word on the next legal steps in Florida.
I can't do this alone and need help. Any amount you donate can help with the costs involved. I need my dog to come home with me. I love him. The money raised will be going towards the fight for Semper, attorney and investigator fees.
If you know me personally, you will understand how heartbreaking this is for me. I am not the one to make a post like this and put my hardships out there. However, I desperately need help getting him home with me. Semper has saved my life in more ways than one. He is my best friend, protector, and snuggle bug. Life without him is too unbearable for me to even imagine.
