Help me get into nationals

My name is Barry Galbreath-Flores and I go to Mount Eden High School in Hayward, California. I’ve been playing music for about 4 years and I never thought that I would be this interested in music until I met Mr.Cato. I was interested in music because I wanted to challenge myself and I knew that all of the greatest people in the world know how to play music. In the beginning of my freshmen year, I tried out for this and I unfortunately did not make it. I took it very serious and made me work even harder to achieve this dream. I decided I will put in more hours and practice 1-2 hours a day after school. During my sophomore year, Mr.Cato gave the opportunity to audition to the Music For All Honor Band Of America. After a long wait, I’ve received an email that I’ve been accepted. Out of all the talented students who auditioned for this position around the the United States, I was the only one chosen. I am very proud to make it this far into my music career. Unfortunately my family does not have the funds to help me achieve my dream because my father has Parkinson’s.
