A shop, where a parent on a tight budget can take a child to get a home-made snack and a coffee, tea or soft drink. A shop, where seniors can go to get out of the house, socialize and have a treat and a coffee for a reasonable price. A shop where on a Friday an elementary age child can bring in an “A” on a test paper and get a free home-made goodie and a drink for free.

I am a licensed residential baker in Lynn Ma, My goal as a baker is to save enough money to open a small coffee shop. A shop that offers my community a place to socialize, to build self-esteem, a place where it won’t break the bank to take a child out for a treat. My shop won’t be fancy, it won’t make me rich, that’s not what I want.
Lynn Ma is middle to lower income city, we are not a big city but we are a diverse city, we are a city of nations and religions. Lynn communities have figured out how to merge all of this into a city that cares about its people.
For the past 3 years I’ve been working toward my dream of opening a small shop to offer a neighborhood space for my community. I bake the way our grandmothers baked. No additives, no preservatives just good old fashion goodness. At present I bake for small coffee shops, on-line and for the public. I am legally blind so I the bus to deliver my baked goods to Boston and surrounding areas. I also do pop up stores as well as craft fairs. Every cent that I make goes into the kitty to save for a shop. Due to lay-off and illness a few years ago I had to file bankruptcy to help with the medical bills so I am unable to get a loan from a bank.
I’m asking that if the spirit moves you and you are community minded, please help me make my dream come true for my community. Please donate if you will. If you feel that you can’t, no worries. I completely understand. May I ask then that you share with your friends on and off of social media and ask them to share as well.
