help me bring dad's ashes home
Donation protected
Dad (Don Pittaway) passed away at 1am the morning of mother's day. He lived an amazing life, was an incredible one of a kind father and his passing has been the hardest thing I have ever had to experience His remains are being cremated in Plains Montana this week. His wishes have been clearly communicated to me to bring him back to Canada. There will be two celebrations of life in the coming month, one here in BC and the other in his home town of London Ontario. I am having a hard time even creating this request but I don't know what else to do under the circumstances...there is no lavish estate or bank account there is no contingency fund past the government of Canada death benefit. As his executor and only daughter armed only with an outdated last will and testimant, his wife retains the home in the USA and his insurance policy. Sadly the cost of the cremation is at minimum $2400.00 US and this morning I was straddled with an additional hospital charge which wasn't expected that I don't have. I will cover the cost of my travel to Montana to retrieve his remains, I will proudly cover the cost of the trip back to Ontario to celebrate his spectacular life with family, friends and fire department. There is no service occurring across the border. So I type this with tears and apprehension and humble humility hanging my head and ask you for help. Please help me bring my father home. With love, gratitude and sadness
