Help Mayumi Develop Workshop & Study

Improvisational Acting for Mental Wellbeing Workshop — an empowering program that can help your loved ones ward off or recover from mental and emotional hardship. I'm developing and conducting this workshop here in Victoria, Australia.
I'm Mayumi, a Mental Health student from Japan. (Update: my education provider abruptly closed down in October 2019 and I'm looking for a new course!)
My biggest passion is to grow this workshop that aims to
• boost people's self-worth
• help people naturally think on their feet, and
• improve skills to respond to the situation more purposefully and confidently.
With my lived experience in Mental Health, improvisational acting and art practice, and knowledge + skills I'm learning, I design and conduct the workshop on my own as a facilitator.
The program consists of relaxation & imagination exercises and purpose-oriented & fun theatre games, and will be tailored to meet the participants' needs. I'm developing it to be more inclusive and accessible.
Through my workshops, I witnessed such beautiful moments where the participants surprised themselves with their own creativity and discover the good qualities they had believed they didn't have.

Why I Need Your Support
EMERGENCY; my education provider abruptly closed down in October 2019. *gasps*
By the end of January 2020, I need to find a new course. I'm utilising all my creativity and skills to save up for the tuition fees in this short period of time. I'm still studying on my own and expanding network here in Melbourne, supported by beautiful souls.
I'm not too far from where I can regularly deliver the workshop to a lot more people — yet not 'a stroke away'.
Your Donation Will Help Me With;
• Study (Mental Health course, Relevant online courses)
• Obtaining certificate (e.g. First Aid, Mental First Aid, CPR)
• Attending relevant training and workshops
• Purchase of materials and tools for the workshop
• Access to academic theses
• Transport
• Venue hire
• Public Liability insurance
I'm confident that I'll be able to make people's lives easier and happier if I can survive and continue to work on the Improv for Mental Wellbeing project.
I sincerely and deeply appreciate your love, support and encouragement.
Lots of love,
Mayumi
