Help Maureen Beat Lymphoma!

This is Maureen Crompton, my amazing mother! As a wife, mother and grandmother she is the definition of selflessness and generosity...she is a true caretaker. No wonder she found her career in nursing. My mother has devoted her whole life to taking care of her family, friends, coworkers and her patients and its time for all of us to help take care of her!

Maureen was diagnosed with Stage Four Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma back in June 2018. She has started treatment but things are changing quickly and other health issues/problems are being discovered along the way. Maureen is a fighter and we are trying to stay positive. However, her Doctors are currently formulating a new treatment plan that will hopefully have a larger impact on the cancer. She is also due to seek out a second opinion on her diagnosis/treatment plan with Penn Medicine. Maureen has a long road ahead of her towards remission but I plan to keep everyone updated as her care progresses.

This diagnosis is already proving to be a huge financial hurdle and any help would be greatly appreciated. Maureen’s insurance only covers a portion of her treatment costs and this campaign is to raise money so that we can aid her in covering the rest. We have been told that one chemo treatment is well over $10,000 and she is due to have chemo for at least another six months if not longer. Each time she sees her cancer doctors who are considered specialists she pays a $60 copay out of pocket. She is also paying copays for a good amount of prescriptions. Her first hospital visit from back in June has already been denied by the insurance company (the insurance company is fighting over the validity of her hospital stay and want further explanations from the hospital before paying for anything). Even though the hospital is going to provide the documentation necessary this will lead to a bill of some kind because like I said before nothing is 100% covered under my moms insurance.
