Yes, you can heal from cancer!
Sometimes it's hard to ask for help, especially when you are used to being the strong, independent giver among us, like Marie. She is such a bright ray of light, always smiling, hugging and supporting everyone else, we forget sometimes how long she has carried on the journey of leaving cancer behind her. Because she carries her cross so well. But I know she has her days when she is so tired and tested. Those days when she worries how she is going to keep paying the $1400 per month in medicine and afford to go back and forth to the clinic in Mexico that has been a Godsend. Those days when it is tough to balance all the bills and the healing blessings that are working to keep her climbing the mountain back to health. She has already sold off and liquidated some of her household belongings and treasures that weren't nailed down to make it this far.
I am pulling for Marie because she inspires me. I'm cheering her on because she is a champion who belongs on the top of that mountain. I can see her making it all the way because she is the best of us. I look at Marie and I ask myself, could I do that? Could I be so positive, cheerful, optimistic, grateful and giving if I was carrying that cross? Could you?
