Help Madison Kick Cancer's Booty!

Last month, we were devastated to learn that our beautiful and vibrant, 31-year-old sister, Madison, was diagnosed with breast cancer.

It’s been a roller coaster ride since that day––Madison grappling with the immensity of her illness while simultaneously starting her dream job as a kindergarten teacher, co-running her family of four, and attending a slew of doctors’ appointments.

Madison and her husband, Antonio, have been handling her diagnosis and initial treatments with utmost grace and humor, from long family FaceTime calls explaining each step of the treatment process to photos of Madison modeling in her array of colorful hospital gowns.

 Madison has had to navigate difficult conversations with her four-year-old son and one-and-a-half-year-old daughter, yet always keeps a positive outlook. Together they read picture books of superhero moms armed with kisses and are planning to have a haircutting party to celebrate the chemo working.

We feel blessed to be within Madison’s wide circle of loving care. Many of her friends, family, neighbors, and acquaintances have reached out, curious about how they can support her.

As Madison faces the accumulated strain of chemotherapy, she will have to stop working – a salary on which her family depends.  On top of this, there will be a range of medical, childcare, and other expenses. We are asking for your help to cover these costs so that our sister can use these next months to be with her family and to, as her four-year-old son Egan would say, "kick cancer's booty!"
