Help Mac Fight Tongue Cancer with Immunotherapy

Michael or Mac was a young, vibrant man with a bright future when he was diagnosed with tongue cancer last July of 2018. He noticed a small patch of white lesion which he mistook as a mouth sore on the right side of his tongue. After a few months of antibiotics prescribed by an ENT doctor, he went for a biopsy and got the news he was dreading.
It was Stage 3 Tongue Carcinoma.
Upon suggestion of the doctors and to his dismay, because his line of work was in communications, he underwent partial glossectomy where 1/3 of his tongue was cut off. It greatly affected his livelihood and his confidence-- but with the goal of curing himself from cancer he underwent radiation therapy and chemotherapy after the surgery.
After a month of being declared as cancer-free, his cancer came back with a vengeance and grew at the base of his tongue. The cancer spread so fast that not even new cycles of chemotherapy can halt it.
He was confined to several hospitals ever since. He hasn't eaten anything from his mouth and hasn't tasted anything since then. Now that the tumor is starting to grow-- his breathing was compromised therefore he needed tracheotomy or putting a breathing tube through his throat to keep him from suffocation by the tumor. He underwent the operation and battled with infection and pneumonia.
The past year has been too hard for Mac and his family. Aside from spending millions for his treatments, hospitalization and therapies the family is also deeply burdened by the expensive medications and pain medicines (morphine, oxycodone and fentanyl) that he needs to take to combat the horrible pain he goes through on a daily basis.
Our last hope to give him a a longer quality of life is through IMMUNOTHERAPY,
But it comes with a hefty price. One cycle will cost the family almost 3,000 - 6,000 USD and the cycle needs to be continued every 21 days.
Mac is only 33 years old and has so much future ahead of him. He loves to travel, cook for family and friends and to TALK which are unfortunately--- impossible for now.
The Immunotherapy needs to be done ASAP as the cancer cells are growing too fast. We need your help to augment Mac's life. He has suffered so much. Imagine someone who cannot eat, cannot drink, cannot talk, cannot walk and in pain almost on a daily basis. That is Mac's situation right now and we are asking you to help him live longer.
He is such a fighter. After all the negative news and grim prognosis, he still believes he will be cured and recover completely. We ask you to help us give that one wish his heart desires. To live an longer quality of life.
