Help Luke Recover and Get Home to His Family

A Simple Surgery Turns into A Life Threatening and Tragic Chain of Events

My brother Luke is one of the happiest people you will ever meet. He is warm and open all of the time, to everyone. He is a new father of baby "Indy" and adoring husband to his incredible wife, Olivia.

On Sunday Luke started to have severe pain in his midsection. He eventually went to the Emergency Room presenting  this horrible pain which he thought was from from kidney stones.

The doctors quickly realized that Luke was suffering from gallbladder attack, and rushed into emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder. After this procedure, one stone remained lodged inside a very constricted common bile duct. This isn't on its own too terrible of an event following surgery. 

However, after a failed attempt on Monday, then again on Tuesday, they decided to try one more time before transferring him to a larger hospital. Wednesday, they began their last attempt. While placing a stint, to hopefully help dislodge the stone,  he suffered cardiac arrest. 

After TEN very intense minutes, they were able to revive Luke. They have placed him in a medically induced coma in hopes that his body will be able to relax and heal from the stress of the previous surgeries where they punctured his liver and scraped his pancreas. 

What should have been a same day procedure has turned into a week of a life threatening, emotional rollercoaster.

This is where you come in. 

Obviously Luke isn't working, and we have no idea when he will be cleared to do so. Olivia is working her full time job as a momma for baby Indy, and as a best friend to Luke, ever at his side in the ICU. 

He needs your help.

Luke is a hard working and devoted husband. He would never ask a penny from anyone, so I am in his behalf. 

His monthly bills only run close to $2,000/month. In addition to this hospital stay, we are anticipating the need for $4,000. This is to cover the home that he shares with his newborn baby and wife, their food, utilities, and gas to and from the hospital as Olivia is going back and forth tending to Indy who is not allowed to see his daddy, and  of course, to be with Luke. 

We are asking that perhaps instead of eating out this week, that you please donate to help Luke cover hospital and life expenses until he is up and on his feet again.

We want to return this wonderful man back to  his family without the stressors of missing so much work.
