I’m Lukah’s Aunt, Jess. I remember the day Lukah was born- he was the first nephew, grandson, great grandson. We all had a lot of firsts and a whole lot of love in our lives because of this beautiful, happy, vivacious and loving little boy.
Lukah was diagnosed on January 21, 2019 with AML- a very life threatening form of Leukemia, just 2 weeks shy of his 3rd birthday. All we want for his birthday this year, and every year, is for him to have the support to kick cancer’s butt!
Lukah has a long road ahead of him. Right now, Doctors are telling us he’ll be in Children’s Hospital for around 6 months to do chemotherapy, and go from there. He is such a strong, determined little boy and he will fight hard, no doubt.
While he’s undergoing treatment he and his parents, Brett and Jen, will be staying at BC Children’s Hospital. The expenses they’re going to incur over the next 6 months will be upwards of $25,000. Lukah’s Mom + Dad, both in their very early 20s don’t have the means to cover finances while they are taking this time off work to be rockstar parents to their little fighter. Lukah's opa, Jerry Kok will manage the gofundme account to allow the parents to fully focus on Lukah's recovery.
We are hoping to raise funds for them to ease their financial burden so they can focus on what’s most important right now - Lukah beating Leukemia.
