Help Lay Joe Davis to Rest

I don't think anyone of us thought the day would come that we would be reaching out to our friends and family to help bury someone we love. And here we are.....
Joey Davis, a father, a son, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, a nephew, a friend to so many people, was taken from this cruel world entirely too soon. A daddy to a beautiful 16 year old daughter, and maybe they didn't always understand each other but he loved her SO much. A son to a woman he drove absolutely crazy almost daily, worried her constantly, but in his own little ways let her know how much he loved her. Before his death Joey lived with our Dad, who is in advanced stages of dementia and paralyzed. Joey took care of his every need, every day....our Dad's "Dody" because he couldn't quite say Joey LOL! A brother to three sisters and one brother, all of us having a different relationship with him. It didn't matter the distance or time between us we all knew that he loved us, with everything he had. Ending every phone call with "I love you more..." the idea that none of us will ever hear that again is devastating. All of us had children and all of them LOVVVVVEEED their Uncle Joe, he just had this knack for taking care of them, playing with them, and making them happy. He was friend to so many people, he didn't care what your background was, what issues you had, as long as he saw you as a good person he would let you in. If you needed something, he would find a way to take care of you, even if it meant taking away of caring for himself.
On November 30th, on the doorstep of his home he was shot and killed, The only blessing being he was killed almost instantly and did not suffer for long. There are so many unknowns to why this happened, the only thing we know right now is that it was completely senseless and unneccesary! A good, good man lost his life FOR WHAT!?!?!??!? We're trying to be patient and let the detectives do their job, but we so badly want answers, we want to know the whys.
In the next few days we will be laying our brother to rest, saying our final goodbyes.....and we will attempt to move forward with our lives, knowing full and well it will never be the same. We are asking for your help, to be able to give Joey the burial his crazy self deserves. We put a goal of $10K, if we meet that goal our family will be forever in debt to those who helped us out....if we go above that and exceed our goal, the additional funds will go to our Dad, who Joey lived with and took care of daily.
