Help Kristie Beat Brain Cancer

Donation protected
My name is Vangie Huntington, I have a wonderful beautiful daughter named Kristie Lynn Tallmon.  Kristie is a proud mother of Marissa Short, 23 and Mason Erickson, age 6.  The light of my life. Kristie is a single mother who has fought hard to care for her children, nurture them and love them. Kristie and Mason live in a house on my property, since I am a senior, she come home so I would have someone to care for me in my senior years.  Never thought our roles would soon be reversed.  I started noticing a problem just a few months ago, she and I thought it was menopause time. I wish that was what it was.  Kristie had not been feeling good and was lucky to be able to work from home during all the snow and ice we've been having this winter. A few weeks ago she asked me to start driving her to work and back, that she had a Dr appointment in a few weeks.  By the time of the appointment February  17, her speech was slurred, she was laughing and crying at the same time , very tired and wobbly.  We arrived at the Dr's and within the hour we were having a cat scan done.  Dr was going to be out on friday afternoon and we would get the scan result later in the day or on monday. No sooner had we walked into the door, the phone rang, we were to go to back to office. Back we go.   We were told in a gentle way that Kristie has terminal brain cancer and we were to go to Providence Hospital right away, do not go home and pack just get there.   So we find that she has several lesions on the brain, a large one in the frontal lobe which is what is causing uncontrollable emotions, the worst one in the pons or brain stem region which controls your automatic reflexs.  Like your breathing, swollening.    Another in her memory area.   We started radiation on  2/20/17.  We are waiting for the biopsy from lung nodule to come back, if it doesnt show cancer, then they have to do a brain biopsy.  She will have radiation for 10 days to start, she will lose all of her hair, there will be side affects, many of which we dont know yet.  If it turns out to be an aggresive form of cancer or if they cannot shrink the tumors especially the one on the brain stem,  she will not have long. They will probably not let her come home with me.  She has a wonderful 6 year old son, bright, loving, brillant in my eyes and his mother,  she is worried to death about him.  She hopes, wants, needs to live long enough for him to grow up.  Will that happen, I dont know.  He knows mommy is sick and sometimes they have to make you sicker to make you better.  How do you tell a 6 year old that his mommy is maybe dying.  We keep every day as normal as possible.  We visit every day.  This is all so new to us, only a few days of thinking my daughter is going crazy to knowing she may go before me.  But this isnt about me, if I could I would take every piece, every atom of this shitty thing into myself I would. .  I'm old, my daughter is just 42, her birthday is on March 26.
Any money raised will go towards her medical expenses and to care for her.  Any left over when she dies will go into a trust fund for Mason.  We need to start raising money right away,  she has medical insurance at this time but you know how that goes.  She will be needing to keep her insurance in affect.  She needs to cover all of Mason's needs.  I can help but am on a fixed income.  Only so much that I can do.  If anyone can help please do.  If I could get a job I would, but someone needs to care for Mason and my Daughter Kristie.
So here is it February 22 and I am putting this out there, asking for help , something I've never done in my life.  Wishing that my baby wasn't going thru this horrible horrible thing, but it is what it is.  Now we wait for the biopsy and hope that this cancer is something treatable to give her a chance  for a while longer. I will post updates for all to read.  Please help us get thru this..
My thanks to all
