We are an adventure-loving family whose philosophy in life is “it’s nice to be nice.” We are currently traveling through South and East Africa en route to Europe and we're doing humanitarian projects along the way. Our focus is children’s wellbeing, so we look to make an impact through education, health, and sustainable projects like eco-gardens or poultry projects.
Our support is made possible by sponsorship from both individuals and companies. So far, with help from donors, we've provided medical, school and food supplies to over 100 kids in South Africa and Botswana and 20 new school uniforms to orphans in the Limpopo region of South Africa . Our goal is to teach our children the Swahili proverb, “Love has to be shown by deeds not words.”
Our next big project is in a few weeks time (mid-June 2018) and we're looking for some awesome individuals to help sponsor a couple of village schools with school supplies, food, and baby chickens for a poultry project. We will be in the very remote, northwest region of Namibia known as Kaokoland, an area largely populated by one of the last traditional tribes in Africa, the Himba . Due to the harsh, vast conditions and the fact that it can only be reached by 4x4, the Himba struggle with access to basic services like medical clinics and school. We will be working within their small villages to bring much-needed resources such as eyeglasses, food staples, and school and medical supplies.
Following our project in Namibia, we will carry on north and work with equally needy groups in Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, etc.
