Help Kendall Kick Cancer

Kendall turned 5 on March 21st, Kasey believes that is when Kendall started not acting like the spunky lively girl we all know. She was napping daily not eating as much as she usually would and started complaining of random aches and pains, despite all of that still seemed like a pretty healthy kiddo. Kasey scheduled Kendall's 5 year well visit for the morning of March 29th, at that appointment Kasey had expressed her concerns with the doctor. He did all of the normal well-child visit things and didn't seem too concerned until he felt her belly where he could feel her liver was enlarged. They were sent to the lab and then told they would receive a call with the results and to expect to be heading down to children's if anything was concerning. The doctor called with the news that all of Kendall's numbers from the lab were very low and that she needed to get down to children's right away. Kasey, Justin and Kendall headed to children's and waited in the emergency room while they did all sorts of other testing. A few hours after being there Kasey and Justin received news that no parent should have to hear, Kendall has leukemia. Kendall is down at children's hospital in Minneapolis and will be admitted to the hospital for the next week or so while they see how she responds to her first doses of chemo. She will eventually be able to go home, and then continue her chemotherapy and appointments as outpatient care a few times a week. Kendall and her family have a long road ahead of them with many long drives to and from the cities. Justin has also taken time off of work to be there at the hospital with her and Kasey.
